Bringing you Taylormade Joinery Solutions
Our roots & aspirations

Grown from traditional family values, over the past 25 years TMJ has flourished into an innovative and energetic business turning over circa £8m. We are enormously proud of the successes bred from our determination to provide an excellent service as well as being a fun and aspiring place to work for our team.

Originally set up as a labour-only contractor in the 1990s, the company provided quality joiners to the construction industry in and around Manchester. As demand increased so did our workforce, bringing to us some of our most respected joiners who still work with us today. Working to industry demands we began to offer the supply of materials and over the past 15 years we have forged strong and valued relationships with our suppliers. Our supply chain is vast yet dependable allowing us to offer a huge range of products, competitively and quickly.

Our compact management and supervisory structure ensures that works are closely monitored and controlled and costs remain reasonable, realistic and importantly, competitive. We have confidence that we can facilitate cost savings and improvements to specification. We are hugely excited by innovation and technology, we are always looking to improve our functionality and performance both on site and in our offices.

We are now effectively using an industry specific software system, FieldView by Viewpoint, combined with project specific iPads and IT equipment. This has brought our project management right up to and inline with that of our clients, we can now manage our works via a vast system which is available at the touch of a finger by our Site Supervisors, Contracts Managers and Quantity Surveyors. Our tech structure is now being developed to incorporate our HS&E systems as well as an ongoing improvement programme to our Quality Assurance Management.

2019 has also seen us invest heavily in our HS&E equipment, from M-Class dust extractors, leading brand PPE, HAVI™ HAVS monitoring kits and most recently a fleet of dust extraction cutting stations, we are endeavouring to keep our workforce safe and going home healthy.

TMJ operates all over the North West of England and working with some of the UKs top construction contractors and big name clients, we are able to take on packages worth over a million in value.

Our triumph is in our team; we hold immense pride in the people behind our success

The TMJ team has developed incredibly over the last decade, we have fostered some fabulous talents amongst us.

Working closely together has built a high level of respect and comradery and is forever cultivating enthusiasm for various members of our team to take part in personal challenges as well as excelling in their professional roles.

As a team we regularly donate time and efforts to fundraising for charities, be it something local, national or specifically something that is close to one of our hearts. From Three Peaks Challenges to sponsored walks and skydives. We also sponsor a local football team that’s been set up to promote and help local people with mental health issues – something that we recognise is a key issue in our industry.
